Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Kharitonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashotik Pizduidze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ashotik Pizduidze will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergei Kharitonov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ashotik Pizduidze!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kharitonov dives in and grabs Pizduidze's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pizduidze pushes down on Kharitonov's head and hops out.

Pizduidze feints and as Kharitonov raises his hands in defense, Pizduidze changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pizduidze tries to free his leg and advance position but Kharitonov is retaining full guard.
Kharitonov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pizduidze distracts Kharitonov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Pizduidze pushes down on Kharitonov's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Pizduidze is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kharitonov has managed to free his arm - good work.

Pizduidze is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kharitonov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pizduidze.
Pizduidze wants to control but Kharitonov is keeping him busy.
Pizduidze is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Kharitonov tries to get to full guard but Pizduidze has control of the leg.

Ashotik Pizduidze has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Pizduidze will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kharitonov throws a head kick but Pizduidze moves out of range.

Kharitonov wants to improve his position but instead Pizduidze has moved into half guard.

Pizduidze is trying to control the action in half guard but Kharitonov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kharitonov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pizduidze on the ground.
Kharitonov is looking for a sweep. Pizduidze is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kharitonov flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Pizduidze is taking a breather. Kharitonov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Pizduidze is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kharitonov sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pizduidze in particular looking to stall.
Kharitonov wants to get back to full guard.

Pizduidze is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kharitonov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pizduidze.

Pizduidze closes the distance and clinches up with Kharitonov, looking for a takedown. Pizduidze pushes Kharitonov against the ropes but Kharitonov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Pizduidze counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kharitonov wants to control the position but Pizduidze says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kharitonov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pizduidze drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kharitonov dives on top into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Pizduidze is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kharitonov defends well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ashotik Pizduidze showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Pizduidze misses with a takedown attempt - Kharitonov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Pizduidze shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kharitonov is trying to defend but Pizduidze finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
