The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
damp takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
damp tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Buck was well out of range. Poor timing from damp.
Buck scores with a jab.
Buck lands a nice shot to the body.
damp shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Buck but Buck pushes him off and we're back to square one.
damp swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

enabling Buck to counter with a crisp jab.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Buck is looking for a sweep. damp is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Buck has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. damp is working away from the top position though.
damp looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
damp seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Buck does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Buck makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Buck counters with a left to the body.

Buck gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows damp to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Buck has worked his way into a potential kimura here. damp is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Buck yanks on the arm and damp is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Buck.
