1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miami Vice! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vice napping and manages to drive through into side control! Vice manages to get back to half guard. Vice is trying to maintain the position but Salo is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vice slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Salo is sitting in close to Vice's body. Vice has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Salo is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Salo is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Vice.
