1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vitalij Kamozin! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasquez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Vasquez circles away from the clinch attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vasquez. Vasquez fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Theodoro Vasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kamozin has managed to clinch.
The referee calls for Kamozin to work.
Vasquez wants a takedown.
Kamozin is pressed up against the cage. Vasquez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kamozin down to the mat. Kamozin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Vasquez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kamozin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kamozin turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Kamozin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Kamozin looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Vasquez is avoiding damage well.
Vasquez sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Kamozin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Vasquez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasquez wants to improve his position but Kamozin is controlling well.
Kamozin working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasquez taking some punishment here, with Kamozin in his half guard. Kamozin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Vasquez is trying to control but can't.
Kamozin scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Kamozin is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kamozin in particular looking to stall. The fighters are battling for position here. Vasquez manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kamozin trying to control the position from guard on top but Vasquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kamozin preventing the sweep. Kamozin wants to control from the top but Vasquez keeps moving. Kamozin postures up.
Vasquez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Vasquez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kamozin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Vasquez is tightening it up a little... Kamozin has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kamozin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kamozin taps out! nice BJJ there by Vasquez!
