Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Graham Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Boyko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Boyko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Graham Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ivan Boyko!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Boyko swivels and escapes.

Boyko darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bell really is a fat lump.
Bell is trying to stand back up but Boyko is controlling him
Bell is refusing to be controlled, as Boyko sits in half guard.
Bell tries to get to full guard but Boyko has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boyko wants to control but Bell is keeping him busy.
Bell wants to control but Boyko is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Bell looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Boyko content to control rather than advance.

Bell avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Boyko.
Bell is trying to stand back up but Boyko is controlling him

Boyko takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Boyko is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Boyko is trying is best to control the position here.
Boyko makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Boyko.
Bellis looking to pass into half guard but Boyko pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Boyko is in guard.

Bell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boyko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Boyko seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Bell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Boyko is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Boyko has escaped and now he's on top!

That was a close round but I would say that Graham Bell will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Boyko with a lazy takedown attempt

and Bell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Bell drops back, looking for a kneebar! Boyko looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Boyko looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Boyko!
Boyko is looking to take a break and control but Bell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Boyko working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bell bucks up and tries to throw Boyko off but instead Boyko has got his back!

Bell trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bell defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bell won't allow Boyko to sweep him here.
Boyko is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boyko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

You can see the frustration on Boyko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Boyko manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Bell is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Bell is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Boyko can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Bell goes for an armbar but Boyko turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Boyko.

Boyko drops back looking for a leg! Bell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bell manages to kick Boyko off! Boyko jumps back into Bell's guard.
Boyko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Graham Bell dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Boyko has his takedown stuffed

and Bell counters with a takedown into side control.
Graham Bell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boyko knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Bell goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Boyko has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bell but great work by Boyko.
Boyko is trying to move to mount but Bell reverses beautifully and ends up in Boyko's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Boyko is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Bell is looking for a triangle but Boyko pushes his legs off easily.
Boyko's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Boyko is pushing down on Bell's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bell is fighting to maintain full guard but Boyko has managed to sneak the leg through.
Boyko content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Boyko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Boyko is looking for a kimura but Bell is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Boyko to get the leverage.

Bell manages to escape and get back to his feet!

and Bell decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Boyko's guard.

Graham Bell showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
