The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson looks to throw the jab but Aldo is out of range.
Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Aldo sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Aldo scores with a jab to the head.
Aldo throws a hook but Anderson blocks it.
Aldo scores with a jab to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anderson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Aldo's half guard.

Anderson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Aldo defends it well.
Anderson is working for a submission of some sort.

Anderson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Aldo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Anderson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aldo is just riding it out for now. Anderson eventually gives up the hold.
Anderson wants to get back to his feet.
Anderson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Aldo defend it? Anderson steps over the head and cranks it - Aldo is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Anderson!
