Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). West comes to the cage accompanied by The Knife - You Take My Breath Away . Diaz has chosen Why Can't We Be Friends? as his entrance music. Nate Diaz will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Diaz throws a hook but West blocks it.
West throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range.
West looks to land a right hand but Diaz moved out of range.
Diaz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from West.
Diaz shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Diaz throws a hook but West avoids it easily.

West throws a looping overhand right but Diaz ducks down to avoid it.

West dives in and grabs Diaz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes down on West's head and hops out.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Excellent takedown into side control there by West.
The strikes coming from West are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
West is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Diaz's shoulder. That is not cool.
West's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
West wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diaz keeps working.

West has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Diaz can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee warns Diaz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Diaz wants to hold on but West pushes him away.
West lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

West pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

West cracks Diaz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
West lands a nice shot to the head.
West has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
West takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
BOOM! West connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Diaz is rocked!
