Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Vai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Fetch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Vai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Fetch! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vai moves in looking to clinch but Fetch pushes him off. Vai tries to land a front kick but Fetch steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Vai throws a series of punches but Fetch moves out of range. Fetch blocks a leg kick. Vai fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Fetch checks it well. Fetch avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Fetch shoots in and gets a takedown into Vai's guard. Fetch looking to pass the guard. Fetch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fetch stops Vai from standing up. Fetch wants to control from the top but Vai keeps moving. Fetch might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vai kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vai can't keep his opponent in guard - Fetch advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Vai looks like he's trying to stand up.
Vai won't allow Fetch to pass to mount. Vai blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fetch. Fetch thows a huge punch but Vai dodges it nicely.
Fetch is trying to control. Vai wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Fetch is pressing down on Vai's thigh, looking to free his foot. Vai is holding on for now. Fetch uses his free foot to push down on Vai's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vai.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fetch raining down shots from the mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vai's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Fetch unloading with bombs! Fetch lands with some strikes. Fetch landing shots from mount. Fetch working Vai over with strikes here. Fetch quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Fetch but it's paid off an Vai is forced to tap! Nice work by Fetch.
