Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Funky Town (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalle Metsienmies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Funky Town! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kalle Metsienmies! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Town moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Town digs a good body shot into Metsienmies's ribs. Town scoring well with a low kick there.
Metsienmies shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Town pinned against the cage. Town gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Metsienmies fails to land with a series of punches.
Metsienmies shoots in and drives through. Town sprawls well.
Town shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Metsienmies's guard. Town passes easily into side control. Nice work. Metsienmies is looking for a sweep. Town is looking to take a break and control but Metsienmies is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Town sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Metsienmies is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Metsienmies is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Town postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Metsienmies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Town. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Town shoots in and bounces Metsienmies off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Metsienmies wants to sweep here but Town controlling him for the moment. Metsienmies is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Town postures up in Metsienmies's guard and throws a big left but Metsienmies blocks it. Metsienmies preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Metsienmies is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Metsienmies not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Town wants to get back to full guard. Town throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Town keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Town regains full guard. Nicely done. Metsienmies trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Metsienmies looks gassed! Metsienmies throwing strikes but missing.
 The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Town manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Metsienmies is looking to work some ground and pound but Town has wrist control. Town throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Town feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Metsienmies's calf. Metsienmies throws a nice looking combination but Town bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Town misses with a head kick.
Town displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Metsienmies throws out the jab. Town lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Metsienmies with a nice cross. Metsienmies will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Town shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Funky Town. That's going to take a lot out of him. Town shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Town lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Metsienmies misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Metsienmies lands with a right hand. Town buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Town pushes Metsienmies off and gets back to his feet. Metsienmies misses with a jab, cross combination.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Metsienmies accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Metsienmies keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Town's head. Town is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Funky Town seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Town throws a right and a left that Metsienmies avoids nicely. Town does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Metsienmies throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Town. Town with a poor takedown

Town had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Metsienmies is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Town Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Metsienmies's back instead. Metsienmies turns into Town and is now in his guard.
