Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus J Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matthews has chosen "Here Comes The Pain" by Jim Johnston as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Matthews throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cook throws a jab but it's blocked by Matthews.
Matthews changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cook tries to avoid it but Matthews manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cook to the ground. Cook escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Matthews stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cook.
Matthews shoots for a double leg takedown but Cook sprawls well. He's pushed Matthews's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Matthews wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Matthews shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cook but Cook pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Matthews shoots in but Cook avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Matthews stalks Cook and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cook's face. Cook staggers backwards, shaken.
Cook's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Cook duly obliges.
Donk. Cook catches Matthews right on the button with a cross.
Matthews is rocked!

Matthews walks straight into a right hand from Cook - that's dropped him! Cook jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Matthews from any more punishment! Matthews complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Stephen Cook!
