PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tra Falgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evo Morales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falgar comes to the cage accompanied by Trafalgar - Damned Cross. Morales comes into a darkened arena with his song building. War is my destiny kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falgar moves in looking to clinch but Morales pushes him off.
Morales ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Falgar moves away.
Morales slips under a jab.
Morales dives in and grabs Falgar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Falgar pushes down on Morales's head and hops out.
Morales throws a looping overhand right but Falgar ducks down to avoid it.
Morales throws a hook to the side of Falgar's head but Falgar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Morales is defended easily by Falgar.
Falgar lands a lovely overhand right.

Morales throws an overhand right that lands on Falgar's shoulder, as Falgar tries to avoid the shot.
Morales swings for the body but Falgar moves out of range.

Falgar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Morales manages to avoid it.
Morales looks to land a right hand but Falgar moved out of range.
Morales ducks under a wild hook from Falgar.
Falgar misses with a body shot.
Falgar misses with a two punch combination.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Falgar.
Falgar throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Falgar looks to land a left hand but Morales moved out of range nicely.

and Falgar counters with a series of strikes. Morales will be more careful next time no doubt.
Tra Falgar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Falgar gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Morales to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Morales is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morales accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Let's hope that Morales has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Evo Morales has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Tra Falgar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evo Morales.

Morales looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Morales is looking to take a break and control but Falgar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Morales is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Falgar defends it well.

Morales throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Falgar tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Morales is in Falgar's guard.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Morales. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Falgar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Falgar tries to get out of the position.

Falgar is staying active underneath Morales, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
