Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karl Darkshneider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darkshneider comes to the cage accompanied by Soulja Boy- Crank That. Fernandez has chosen FT... as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juan Fernandez!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fernandez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Fernandez moves in looking to clinch but Darkshneider pushes him off.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Fernandez.
Darkshneider wants to control but Fernandez postures up.
Fernandez creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Darkshneider sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Fernandez cracks Darkshneider with a big elbow.
Fernandez decides to stand back up. Fernandez steps back and let's Darkshneider get back to his feet.
Fernandez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Darkshneider quickly recovers to half guard.
Fernandez is looking to stall here but Darkshneider recovers full guard.
Fernandez wants to pass the guard but Darkshneider is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fernandez is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Darkshneider wants to sweep here but Fernandez controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Juan Fernandez was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Fernandez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Darkshneider doesn't seem bothered though.

Fernandez throws a series of punches but Darkshneider moves out of range.

Fernandez throws a nice looking combination but Darkshneider bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Fernandez closes the distance and pushes Darkshneider back into the cage.
Fernandez gets through Darkshneider's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Fernandez is pressed up against the cage. Darkshneider has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fernandez down to the mat. Fernandez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karl Darkshneider. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fernandez gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Fernandez closes the distance and clinches.
Darkshneider is trying to drag Fernandez to the mat but Fernandez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Fernandez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fernandez throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Darkshneider takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oooooh!!! Fernandez has knocked Darkshneider down with a huge combo! Fernandez steps away and waves a wobbly Darkshneider back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Darkshneider is rocked!
Fernandez throws an uppercut from hell that sends Darkshneider clean off his feet! He's out cold! Fernandez stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Juan Fernandez!
