The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
hogan misses with a wild combination.

Sakurai bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps hogan's head backwards.

It looks like davie hogan has been cut.

hogan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sakurai is trying hard to land a takedown here. hogan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
hogan drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

hogan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

hogan throws a series of punches but Sakurai moves out of range.
Sakurai looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? hogan is fending him off so far but Sakurai persists. Nope, hogan circles away and we're back to standing.

hogan tries to bum rush Sakurai with a series of wild strikes but Sakurai uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

hogan throws a nice looking combination but Sakurai bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
hogan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
hogan lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
hogan misses with a double jab.
davie hogan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sakurai scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. hogan doesn't seem bothered though.
hogan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
hogan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sakurai moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sakurai lunges at hogan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by hogan's hand.

Sakurai fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. hogan sprawls well initially but Sakurai persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Sakurai is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, hogan has managed to free his arm - good work.
hogan won't allow Sakurai to pass to mount.

Sakurai maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! hogan could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Sakurai has cracked it and hogan is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Sakurai!
