Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jay Kim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rauno Tonts! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kim cracks Tonts with an open hand slap. Kim pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kim moves away from the strike by Tonts. Tonts tries to clinch up but Kim circles away and keeps his distance. Tonts rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kim moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Tonts misses the jab. Tonts misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tonts fails in his attempt to clinch. Tonts scores with a jab to the head.
Tonts walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nice defenses there by Tonts. Kim fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tonts manages to avoid it. Tonts tries to clinch up. Rauno Tonts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tonts ducks under a wild hook from Kim. Tonts throws a head kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tonts. Tonts circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Tonts tries to close the distance and clinch but Kim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kim throws a nice looking combination but Tonts bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kim avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kim works the jab nicely. Kim connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tonts. Tonts circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Tonts misses with a few strikes there.

Kim loads up on a big right hand but Tonts slips the punch. Kim throws a series of punches but Tonts avoids them all with ease. Tonts tries to clinch up but Kim circles away and keeps his distance. Tonts takes the fight into the clinch. Kim working hard to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Come on Tonts - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Kim keeps control of Tonts as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kim stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Tonts throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Kim misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kim misses with a short punch on the inside. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Tonts just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kim's brow. Tonts breaks the clinch.
Kim lands a jab. Tonts tries to clinch up but Kim circles away and keeps his distance. Tonts throws a wild body kick that Kim sees coming a mile off. Kim throws a combination that misses and Tonts counters with a series of strikes. Kim will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tonts tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kim manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tonts lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kim circles away quickly and effectively. Tonts ducks right into an uppercut from Kim. Tonts tries to close the distance and clinch but Kim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kim throws a hook but Tonts avoids it easily. Tonts doesn't manage to clinch there - Kim circles away.

Tonts throws a right and a left that Kim avoids nicely. Kim connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Tonts is looking to land body kicks. Kim scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kim throws a jab when Tonts was well out of range. It's a brutal combination of punches from Kim! Tonts is backing up but he can't get away as Kim lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Tonts and ends the fight. Great knockout.
