Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wandy Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jackson burt!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. burt tries to avoid it but Walker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag burt to the ground. burt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Walker is trying hard to land a takedown here. burt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Walker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. burt was covering up waiting for the punch and Walker finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Walker wants to control from the top but burt keeps moving.
Walker sitting in guard here, content to control.
Walker stops burt from standing up.
Walker tries to free his leg and advance position but burt is retaining full guard.
burt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Walker pushing down on burt's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Walker moves nicely into side control.
Walker tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Walker has hold of burt's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! burt tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Walker cranks the arm and burt screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from burt, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Wandy Walker!
