Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Ennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes has chosen All the Above as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that James Ennis has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily James Ennis seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Ennis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stevie Reyes! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ennis was well out of range. Poor timing from Reyes. Reyes throws a series of punches but Ennis avoids them all with ease. Reyes misses the shot to the body. Ennis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Ennis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reyes swivels and escapes. Ennis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reyes.
Ennis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Reyes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Reyes misses the shot to the body. Reyes's corner calls for a 1-2. Reyes obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Reyes scores with a one two! Ennis had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Reyes avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Reyes lands with a shot to the body. Reyes lands with an uppercut that bounces Ennis off the cage and back into rage. Ennis slips under a jab from Reyes. Reyes catches Ennis with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Ennis drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ennis won't allow Reyes to sweep him here. Ennis thows a big elbow that misses. Ennis wants to pass the guard but Reyes is keeping the position. Ennis with a flurry of punches that miss. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reyes can do anything to dispel that myth. Reyes looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Reyes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ennis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ennis prevents Reyes from getting back to his feet. Ennis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reyes is looking to stand up but Ennis isn't so interested in that idea. Ennis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ennis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ennis is working Reyes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Ennis throwing strikes but missing. Reyes striking off his back but it's not causing Ennis any problems. Ennis stands and throws Reyes's legs to the side, diving into side control. Reyes is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Ennis is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Reyes can't escape the position.
Reyes tries to lock up and control but Ennis gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Reyes is looking to improve his position but Ennis isn't that keen on the idea. Ennis is working for a guillotine from mount but Reyes frees his head quite easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reyes is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ennis scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Ennis with good strikes from the mount here! Reyes tries to hold on but Ennis pushes him away. Reyes is trying to escape the mount.
Reyes is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Reyes really wants to buck Ennis off and get back to his feet. Reyes looks gassed! Reyes wants to control but Ennis is having none of it. Reyes sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ennis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Reyes tries to kick Ennis off but Ennis keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ennis lands with a punch from half guard. Reyes on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Reyes is looking to control Ennis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Reyes avoid being mounted? Ennis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Reyes keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ennis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Reyes is not content to let Ennis control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyes trying to control from the bottom.
Reyes wants to get back to his feet.
Ennis lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Reyes is looking to improve his position.
Ennis is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ennis working the head and body with strikes. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Ennis prevents Reyes from improving his position. Reyes is trying to stand back up but Ennis is controlling him
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Reyes on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Reyes wants to improve his position but Ennis is controlling well.
Ennis stops Reyes from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that James Ennis will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Reyes takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ennis swings away with a body shot that misses
and Reyes counters with a one-two to the body. Ennis shoots and misses and Reyes counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ennis fails to land the takedown. Ennis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ennis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Ennis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ennis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Reyes lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ennis backs up against the cage.
It looks like James Ennis has been cut. Ennis misses the shot to the body. Ennis throws a sloppy body shot
and Reyes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ennis thinking. Nice cross by Reyes. Ennis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reyes was well out of range. Poor timing from Ennis. Ennis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Reyes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ennis circles away quickly and effectively. Ennis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Reyes scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Ennis swings for the body but Reyes moves out of range.
Reyes scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A left lands for Reyes. Reyes connects with the punch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Reyes takes a swing at Ennis's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reyes fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ennis on the side of the head. Ennis shoots in but no luck this time. Reyes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Reyes lands with a good body shot. No joy there for Reyes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stevie Reyes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ennis doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Reyes tests Ennis's chin there with a solid looking shot. Reyes connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ennis momentarily.
Ennis gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Reyes. Reyes connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Ennis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Reyes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ennis circles away quickly and effectively. Reyes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Reyes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reyes stuns Ennis with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Reyes throws a combination. Ennis tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Reyes scores with a jab. Ennis acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ennis is rocked! Reyes lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Ennis falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
