Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Terry Bogard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hanibal Kane!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogard gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kane lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Bogard looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Bogard controlling Kane's posture.
Kane throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bogard keeping full guard, as Kane tries to pass.
Bogard manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kane manages to get himself to full guard.
Kane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kane is trying to keep Bogard in close.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bogard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kane controls Bogard momentarily but Bogard frees himself.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Terry Bogard just wasn't active enough.
Kane darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bogard is controlling Kane's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Bogard is staying active underneath Kane, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kane is looking for a kimura but Bogard is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kane to get the leverage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bogard moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bogard tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bogard is trying to control the position but Kane postures up.
Kane trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bogard preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Bogard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bogard is tightening it up a little... Kane has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kane reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kane taps out! nice BJJ there by Bogard!
