Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Haku Men! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Delson Ribeiro! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Men fails with an attempt to clinch.
Men moves in looking to clinch but Ribeiro pushes him off. Ribeiro pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Ribeiro pushes Men up against the cage in a clinch. Ribeiro has Men pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Men manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Men lands an elbow inside that Ribeiro shrugs off. Men with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Men lands a good knee to the midsection. Ribeiro won't want to take too many of those. Ribeiro gets a trip takedown into half guard. Ribeiro working over Men with some ground and pound. Men looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Men keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Men is trying to control but can't.
Ribeiro trying to mount his opponent but Men defends it. Men is looking to improve his position.
Men gets full guard. Men looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ribeiro is one step ahead there. Men utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ribeiro must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Men is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Men wants to sweep here but Ribeiro controlling him for the moment. Ribeiro trying to control but Men is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Men is looking to clinch but Ribeiro is avoiding it.
Ribeiro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Men was well out of range. Poor timing from Ribeiro. Ribeiro looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Men is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ribeiro is trying to control the action in half guard but Men is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ribeiro controlling the action here. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Ribeiro is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Men gets full guard. Ribeiro distracts Men with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Men looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ribeiro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ribeiro wants to control from the top but Men keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Men looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ribeiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Men is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ribeiro wants to pass the guard but Men is keeping the position. Men trying to control the position.
Men looking for a sweep. Not yet Men, not yet. Men can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ribeiro controls the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Delson Ribeiro. Ribeiro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Men tries to clinch and Ribeiro counters with a takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Men's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ribeiro controls the position from side control. Men wants to control but Ribeiro postures up. Men tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ribeiro wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Ribeiro working the body and head with strikes. Ribeiro in side control, just content to control the action for now. Men is trying to control Ribeiro's posture but Ribeiro avoids it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ribeiro is looking to take a break and control but Men is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Delson Ribeiro dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ribeiro looks to score with a jab to the body but Men is just out of range. Ribeiro shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Ribeiro is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ribeiro stands up out of the half guard. Men misses with a head kick.
Ribeiro throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Men stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Men uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ribeiro. Ribeiro throws a jab but it's blocked by Men. Men misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Men tries to clinch but Ribeiro moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Men tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ribeiro swats him away and circles back towards the center. Men keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ribeiro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Men was well out of range. Poor timing from Ribeiro. Men throws a sloppy head kick and Ribeiro moves out of range easily. Ribeiro drives through and clinches with Men against the cage.
Ribeiro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A momentary lapse in concentration from Men enables Ribeiro to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Men manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ribeiro decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Men moves away from the strike by Ribeiro. Delson Ribeiro is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Men tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ribeiro swats him away and circles back towards the center. Men moves to clinch but Ribeiro breaks away and Ribeiro counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Ribeiro scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Men wants to control but Ribeiro is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Men is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Men has hold of Ribeiro's hands but Ribeiro slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Men is looking to improve his position.
Ribeiro is controlling the pace.
Delson Ribeiro has got the better of the ground game so far. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ribeiro lands a nice short elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ribeiro is figuring out what he wants to do next. Men wants to control but Ribeiro is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Ribeiro closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Men to the mat! Men manages to get full guard. Ribeiro's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ribeiro looking to pass the guard. Men looking to control.

Men manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ribeiro manages to get himself to full guard.

Men tries to close the distance and clinch but Ribeiro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Haku Men is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ribeiro misses with a wild body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Delson Ribeiro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Ribeiro misses the shot to the body. Men throws a head kick that misses. A nice combination there by Ribeiro.
Ribeiro closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Men quickly recovers to half guard. Ribeiro performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Ribeiro thows a huge punch but Men dodges it nicely.
Ribeiro winds up and cracks Men with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Ribeiro keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Men is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ribeiro scores with a couple of nice shots. Ribeiro is stalling here. Men is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ribeiro seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Men has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Men is trying to get an arm triangle but Ribeiro is defending well. Ribeiro is trying to control Men's posture but Men avoids it.

Not really close to a finish though. Ribeiro tries to improve position but can't. Men wants to control but Ribeiro is keeping him busy. Ribeiro is pushing Men's head away, looking to escape. Men manages to hold on to the position though. Men wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ribeiro keeps working. Ribeiro isn't going anywhere. Ribeiro is looking to reverse the position.

Ribeiro seems comfortable defending it but Men has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ribeiro is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ribeiro is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Men couldn't care less - he's delighted!
