Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Traktor Chain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rua's choice of entrance music: drop the world. Rickson Rua has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Traktor Chain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rickson Rua! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua wants to clinch. Rua throws a series of punches but Chain moves out of range. Rua gets tackled into the cage by Chain. Chain maintains the clinch. Chain is stalling here.
Rua throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Chain blocks it with crossed arms. Rua has hold of one of Chain's legs. Chain is fighting the takedown attempt but Rua gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Rua stands up and waves to Chain to follow him. Chain moves into the clinch. Chain gets control of Rua's arms and successfully pulls guard. Chain will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Chain not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chain wants to stand up but Rua is controlling him. Rua is working Chain over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Chain is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Chain has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rua off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rua instigates a clinch. Rua is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Chain can't fight it off and eventually Rua manages to take the fight to the floor. Chain looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rua decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Chain lets loose with a powerful body kick. Rua will feel that in the morning. Rua looks gassed! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chain looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Chain tries to clinch up. Rua tries to sprawl but Chain drives through with a takedown into half guard. Chain sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rua defending well though. Rua looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Rua is not content to let Chain control the position. Chain working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rua pushes Chain off and gets back to his feet. Rua will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chain fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rickson Rua is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chain fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rua sprawls well initially but Chain persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Chain working over Rua with some ground and pound. Rua looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Rua is looking to improve his position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Rua looking for submissions off his back. Chain wants to stand up but Rua has a hold of him and won't allow it. Rua kicks off Chain and gets to his feet. Chain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rua closes the distance looking to clinch and Chain counters by clinching up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rua breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rua looks to clinch and Chain counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Chain fails to pull guard.

and Chain counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rua's guard now. Chain thows a big elbow that misses. Chain has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Rua working for a triangle but Chain defends it easily.
Chain knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rua on the ground. Chain wants to stand but Rua is controlling his posture from full guard. Rua looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Chain won't allow Rua to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chain trying to control the position from guard on top but Rua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rua is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chain is aware though and is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rua has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chain drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chain jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Chain is working Rua over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Chain has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Rua to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Chain is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Rua pulls down on the head and he's put Chain to sleep! This one is all over!
