Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yan da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lincoln Hawk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yan da Silva! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawk moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Yan da Silva has been cut. Hawk keeps the fight on the outside. Hawk displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from da Silva. da Silva shoots in but Hawk avoids the takedown attempt easily. da Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hawk moves out of range as da Silva throws a body kick.
da Silva moves out of range as Hawk strikes. Hawk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hawk misses with a body shot.
Hawk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but da Silva manages to avoid it. da Silva tries to keep at a distance but Hawk has taken the fight into the clinch. da Silva is looking to control Hawk's arms but Hawk gets an underhook and turns him. Now da Silva has his back to the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Hawk. Hawk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
da Silva with a body punch. A glancing blow. da Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Hawk avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
da Silva closes the distance but Hawk moves to the side enabling Hawk to counter with a crisp jab. Hawk waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract da Silva. Hawk just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. da Silva loads up on a big right hand but Hawk slips the punch. Hawk scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Hawk throws the left hand but da Silva avoids the punch easily. Hawk throws a lazy right hand but da Silva sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hawk has managed to clinch.
Hawk lands a body punch in the clinch. Hawk breaks from the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hawk. da Silva does a little dance to reset his feet. da Silva tries to bum rush Hawk with a series of wild strikes but Hawk uses good footwork to avoid the assault. da Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Lincoln Hawk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. da Silva scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hawk controlling the position well. Hawk moves into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as da Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hawk seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. da Silva stopping the sweep attempt from Hawk. Hawk manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. da Silva manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down da Silva for as long as he can get away with. da Silva preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hawk controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Lincoln Hawk wasn't doing enough on the ground. da Silva tries to clinch up. da Silva fails in his attempt to clinch. da Silva looks to land a right hand but Hawk moved out of range. Hawk slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Hawk gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hawk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hawk cracks da Silva with an open hand slap. A nice combination there by da Silva.
da Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hawk sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten da Silva somewhat. Lincoln Hawk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yan da Silva. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from da Silva. da Silva is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hawk. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hawk misses with a straight right. da Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hawk. da Silva is looking to clinch but Hawk is avoiding it.

Lincoln Hawk dominated that round. The cut man is working on Yan da Silva's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
da Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hawk connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hawk fails to land with a series of punches.
Hawk clinches up against the cage. Hawk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. da Silva misses with a wild combination.
Yan da Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hawk throws a big shot that misses. Hawk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but da Silva moves away. da Silva misses with a takedown attempt and Hawk counters with a straight right hand.
That has opened up Yan da Silva's cut even more. da Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hawk sprawls well. Hawk wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. da Silva gets slowly back to his feet. Lincoln Hawk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yan da Silva. Hawk instigates a clinch. Hawk lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hawk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. da Silva has his takedown stuffed and Hawk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. da Silva is breathing heavily. da Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Hawk clinches up with da Silva and pushes him back against the cage. da Silva looking to slow down the pace here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but da Silva regains guard immediately. Hawk is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. da Silva controls Hawk momentarily but Hawk frees himself. da Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hawk controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Hawk keeps control of da Silva as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hawk gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Hawk's corner is telling him to maintain position. Hawk works a leg free and moves into half guard. da Silva tries to kick Hawk off but Hawk keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. da Silva defending well though. Hawk content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hawk thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed da Silva's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hawk missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hawk slows the pace down in half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Lincoln Hawk has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Hawk misses with a straight left. A telegraphed right hand from da Silva misses the target. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. da Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hawk was well out of range. Poor timing from da Silva. A jab from Hawk does it's job there. Hawk is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that da Silva can do to turn this around? da Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hawk counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The cut above Yan da Silva's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Hawk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hawk wants it to stay on the feet. Lincoln Hawk is winning the standup battle so far. Hawk rushes da Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lincoln Hawk dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Yan da Silva's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Hawk closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hawk lands in his opponent's guard. da Silva keeping full guard, as Hawk tries to pass. Hawk gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. da Silva misses with a few strikes there.
da Silva tries to clinch but Hawk moves away and Hawk counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hawk. Hawk breaks from the clinch.
Hawk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but da Silva circles away quickly and effectively. Hawk shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hawk wants to lay and pray for a moment but da Silva keeps working. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. da Silva blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hawk. Hawk slows the pace down in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hawk lands strikes from half guard. Hawk is trying to work for a kimura but da Silva is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk not doing much here.
Hawk works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hawk dominating with strikes here. Hawk controlling from the full mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hawk fails to move to back control.
And that's the end of the fight! Lincoln Hawk showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hawk has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
