Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between mike marino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Johnson's choice of entrance music: Dig by Incubus. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
marino trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
marino throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
marino wants to sweep but no luck.
marino doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - Johnson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says marino as he avoids it easily.
Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Johnson shoots in for a double leg but marino sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

marino loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Johnson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from marino land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. marino stands and salutes the crowd.
