Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Serra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tulio Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Tulio Gomes enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Serra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tulio Gomes! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomes shoots in looking for a takedown. Serra tries to sprawl out of it but Gomes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Serra manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gomes throws a sloppy head kick and Serra moves out of range easily. Gomes misses with a two punch combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gomes is defended easily by Serra. Serra scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Gomes is trying to work for a sweep but Serra has mounted him! Gomes is looking to improve his position but Serra isn't that keen on the idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gomes is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Gomes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Serra controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gomes is desperately trying to improve his position but Serra has a good base and remains in mount. Gomes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Serra knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gomes on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serra controlling from the full mount. Gomes is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Serra controlling his opponent. Gomes can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Serra controlling the position easily from mount. Gomes is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Serra dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Serra closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Serra taking a breather here. Gomes is looking for a sweep. Serra taking a breather here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gomes is trying to control Serra's posture but Serra avoids it. Serra controls the position. Gomes tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A lull in the action here. Gomes is looking to reverse the position. Gomes is breathing heavily. Gomes looks to move to half guard but instead Serra has passed into mount! Damn!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serra controlling his opponent. Gomes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Serra controlling his opponent. Gomes is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Serra controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Serra dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Gomes tries for a takedown but Serra circles away easily so Serra counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Gomes looking for a sweep. Not yet Gomes, not yet. Serra controlling from the top position. Serra's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Gomes trying to keep a closed guard but Serra is proving a slippery customer.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A leg kick checked by Serra. Serra checks the leg kick. Tulio Gomes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gomes tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Serra decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gomes's guard. Gomes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gomes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Serra sitting in guard, not really doing much. Gomes working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serra avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Serra controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We're going to have a standup here because Jose Serra wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Serra scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Serra slows the pace down in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jose Serra showed his dominance in that final round. Well Serra has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
