Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peter Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Woolard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Piper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Woolard! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piper scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Piper remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Piper passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Woolard! Piper controlling his opponent. Piper has control of Woolard's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Woolard regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Woolard tries to hold on but Piper postures up. Piper trying to control but he's not successful this time. Piper controlling the position easily from mount. Woolard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Piper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woolard is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Piper breaks from Woolard's wrist control and lands an elbow.
It looks like Tyson Woolard has been cut. Piper looking to control and managing it successfully. Woolard slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Piper wants to free his trapped foot but Woolard is holding on for dear life with his legs. Piper wants to lay and pray for a moment but Woolard keeps working. Woolard won't allow Piper to pass to mount. Piper trying to control from half guard but Woolard is working away. Piper passes to side control. Piper lands some shots froms side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woolard struggling a bit here. Piper prevents Woolard from escaping the position. Piper controlling the position. Piper has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Woolard! This has been an exciting period of action! Piper scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Piper lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Woolard hang on?
That has opened up Tyson Woolard's cut even more. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Piper lands a big elbow.
The cut above Tyson Woolard's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tyson Woolard's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Peter Piper!
