Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emanuel Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Wright! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Emanuel Diaz! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wright throws an off balance right hand
and Diaz counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wright is pushing Diaz's head away, looking to escape. Diaz manages to hold on to the position though. Diaz lands an elbow. Wright knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground. Wright is not content to let Diaz control the position. Diaz prevents Wright from escaping the position. Diaz advances nicely into full mount. Wright is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Wright on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wright tries to get out of the position. Diaz lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Diaz moves to back control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wright showing good submission defense here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz looking for the choke but no joy. Wright wants to get back to his feet. Well, with Diaz on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Wright is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Diaz looking for the choke from the back. Wright covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Wright is trying to get back to his feet but Diaz has full control of the position and if anything, Wright has just worked his way into a worse spot. Diaz struggling to keep hold of the position.
Wright is trying to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz lands an elbow to the side of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wright covering up well and avoiding damage. Diaz punches the canvas rather than the man. Wright controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Wright is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet. Diaz shoots in and drives through. Wright sprawls well. Wright fails to land with a series of punches.
Diaz slips a jab from Wright.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wright swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Diaz counters with a nice double leg into guard. Diaz prevents Wright from getting back to his feet. Wright is breathing heavily. Wright preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wright wants to stand and escape but Diaz is having none of it. Diaz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Diaz is stalling in the full guard. Wright is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Diaz is controlling him. Diaz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Diaz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wright works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Diaz looking to sit in guard and control but Wright gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Diaz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wright! Diaz lands a big shot there that rocks Wright but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Diaz looking to isolate an arm here. Wright doesn't see it coming and as Diaz extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Diaz!
