Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ruthless Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes has chosen Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ruthless Junior!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andre Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Barnes can pounce on him.
Barnes moves in looking to clinch but Junior pushes him off.
Barnes misses with a wild combination.
Junior moves forwards but Barnes connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Ruthless Junior has been cut.
Barnes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Junior misses with a lunging right hand
and Barnes counters with an outside leg kick.
Ruthless Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Junior falls off balance throwing a combination
and Barnes counters with a thumping low kick.

and Barnes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Junior swats away the attempt to clinch by Barnes.
Barnes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Junior stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Barnes counters with a head kick that drops Junior to the mat! Junior scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Barnes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Junior stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Junior with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Barnes to score with a decent uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barnes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Junior is trying to defend but Barnes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
