Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Batang Tondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Silvestry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silvestry has chosen Street Fighter as his entrance music. Batang Tondo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brandon Silvestry!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tondo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Silvestry counters with a takedown into side control.
Tondo tries to escape but Silvestry is in control.
Silvestry postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Silvestry decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Silvestry feints and as Tondo raises his hands in defense, Silvestry changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Silvestry stays in close to Tondo's body and controls the position.
Silvestry must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Tondo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Silvestry holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Tondo misses with a punch to the body.
Silvestry on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Silvestry gets underhooks to prevent Tondo's takedown attempt.
Silvestry tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tondo smiles and moves away.

Let's hope that Silvestry has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silvestry shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tondo's guard.
