Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Conjo Barbetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory McDanver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Conjo Barbetti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cory McDanver! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A choreographed right hand from McDanver misses the target. Barbetti is looking to clinch but McDanver is avoiding it.
Horrible takedown by Barbetti or perhaps it was just good defense by McDanver which made him look bad. Barbetti misses with a takedown attempt - McDanver sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Barbetti shoots in for a takedown but McDanver shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conjo Barbetti. That's going to take a lot out of him. McDanver lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. McDanver lands a slapping body shot.
Barbetti ducks under a wild hook from McDanver. Nice defenses there by Barbetti. Cory McDanver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barbetti misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Barbetti shoots in but McDanver avoids the takedown attempt easily. Barbetti lunges at McDanver with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by McDanver's hand. Barbetti shoots in looking for a takedown. McDanver tries to sprawl out of it but Barbetti keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McDanver manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Barbetti dodges the punch combination from McDanver.

Nice defenses there by Barbetti. McDanver throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Nice sprawl there from McDanver as Barbetti shoots in. Barbetti closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McDanver to the mat! McDanver manages to get full guard. Barbetti is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. McDanver controlling the position. McDanver is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Barbetti is controlling him. McDanver has Barbetti pulled in close to control his posture. Barbetti really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Barbetti passes into half guard. McDanver wants to improve his position but Barbetti is controlling well.
Barbetti is looking for a kimura but McDanver is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Barbetti to get the leverage. McDanver is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McDanver is not content to let Barbetti control the position. McDanver controlling the position for now. The fighters are battling for position here. McDanver manages to regain full guard. Nice work. McDanver is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Barbetti is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McDanver is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McDanver has escaped and now he's on top! McDanver trying to stand up but can't free himself from Barbetti's guard. Barbetti will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Barbetti escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McDanver gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Barbetti escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McDanver gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McDanver is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Barbetti lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McDanver! McDanver holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Barbetti tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McDanver is trying to escape the mount but Barbetti keeps good control and instead manages to take McDanver's back.
Barbetti has got one arm under McDanver's chin. This could be trouble... McDanver trying to control the other hand but Barbetti gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, McDanver has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Conjo Barbetti!
