The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for jeffers.
jeffers stuffs the takedown attempt from McTavish. McTavish gets slowly back to his feet.
McTavish tries to score a power double leg takedown but jeffers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McTavish somewhat.
McTavish shoots for a takedown but jeffers saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex McTavish. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McTavish shoots in looking for a takedown. jeffers tries to sprawl out of it but McTavish keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. jeffers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Alex McTavish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McTavish slips under a jab.

jeffers throws an uppercut from hell that sends McTavish clean off his feet! He's out cold! jeffers stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
