Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wally Wechsel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simo Supermies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wechsel comes to the cage accompanied by Faith No More - The Morning After. The crowd seem to be enjoying Supermies's choice of entrance music: Resgate - Rock da Vovó. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Supermies checks a leg kick.
Wechsel looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Wechsel throws a push kick but Supermies slaps the foot to one side.
Supermies thows a body shot but no joy.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Supermies accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Supermies working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wechsel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wechsel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Supermies looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wechsel is one step ahead there.
Wechsel won't allow Supermies to get back to his feet.
Supermies has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Supermies looking for a guillotine here but Wechsel defends easily.
Supermies is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

and Wechsel counters with an outside leg kick.
Wechsel misses with a series of wild punches.
Supermies throws a body punch but Wechsel moves out of range.
Supermies throws a solid leg kick but Wechsel takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Supermies.

Wechsel lands the left hand.
Wechsel scoring well with a low kick there.

and Supermies counters with a shoot takedown. Wechsel fights it but they end up in guard.

Supermies is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wechsel is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wechsel has escaped and now he's on top!
Supermies lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wechsel!

Supermies throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Supermies swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Wechsel is now in Supermies's guard. A big mistake from Supermies there, giving up the dominant position!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Supermies holds on and takes a little breather.

Simo Supermies showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Wechsel buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Supermies misses with a body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wechsel, as that shot connected.
Wechsel throws a quick inside leg kick.

Wechsel gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Supermies to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Supermies is looking to advance position but Wechsel has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Supermies is in all sorts of trouble here.

Supermies is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Supermies is trying desperately to improve position.
Wechsel controlling the pace for now.
Supermies really wants to buck Wechsel off and get back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
