Lytle comes to the cage accompanied by Light's Out. St Pierre has chosen Territoire Hostile as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christopher Lytle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt St Pierre! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lytle fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lytle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with St Pierre but St Pierre pushes him off and we're back to square one. St Pierre stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christopher Lytle. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lytle looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for St Pierre! Lytle is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. St Pierre can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Lytle tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but St Pierre wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lytle regains half guard. St Pierre looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
St Pierre decides to stand up. Lytle fails with the takedown. Lytle on the wrong end of a nice hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lytle bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lytle is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. St Pierre knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Lytle is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, St Pierre has escaped the position, nice work there. St Pierre manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! St Pierre is trying to control the action in half guard but Lytle is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. St Pierre passes the guard and advances to mount! Lytle is squirming around, avoiding St Pierre's attempts to control the action.

A close round but Matt St Pierre will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Lytle fails with a takedown attempt. Lytle lands a glancing blow to the side of St Pierre's head. St Pierre leaves Lytle with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lytle fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lytle doesn't seem bothered though. St Pierre throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Christopher Lytle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lytle ducks right into an uppercut from St Pierre. Christopher Lytle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lytle misses with a double jab
and St Pierre counters with a left to the body. Lytle scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
St Pierre ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Lytle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting St Pierre counter with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lytle tries for a takedown but St Pierre circles away easily and St Pierre counters with a thumping low kick. St Pierre darts in and clinches Lytle up against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! St Pierre lands with a short shot to the head. Lytle tries for a takedown. Lytle drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and St Pierre dives on top into guard. St Pierre trying to control the position from guard on top but Lytle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lytle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. St Pierre gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lytle wants to sweep here but St Pierre controlling him for the moment. St Pierre sitting in guard, not really doing much. Lytle keeping moving, preventing St Pierre from controlling successfully. Lytle throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! St Pierre escapes and throws Lytle's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lytle is looking to regain half guard here but St Pierre keeps moving and retains side control. St Pierre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lytle keeps working. Lytle tries to improve position but can't. Lytle sneaks back into half guard. St Pierre keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lytle trying to hold on to St Pierre's head to control him but St Pierre postures up.

Matt St Pierre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. St Pierre looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from St Pierre! Lytle sneaks back into half guard. Lytle works his way to full guard. Good work. Lytle looking for a triangle here. St Pierre is fighting it but it looks tight! Lytle pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, St Pierre is tapping out - this one is all over!
