Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Riviera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Peter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcelo Riviera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Peter! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peter stuffs the takedown. Peter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Riviera is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Peter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Riviera is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Peter looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riviera is looking to get to half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Riviera is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Peter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Peter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Riviera's waist but Riviera gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Peter off to one side. Riviera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Peter to the mat! Peter manages to get full guard. Riviera drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Peter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Riviera has Peter in his guard. Riviera not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riviera seems keen to control Peter's posture. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Riviera is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Peter dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Riviera lands with an uppercut that bounces Peter off the cage and back into rage. Peter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Riviera did well to prevent Peter getting side control. Riviera is trying to maintain the position but Peter is very close to passing his half guard. Peter slows the pace down in half guard. Riviera is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riviera is trying is best to control the position here. Peter controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Riviera shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Peter counters by clinching up. Riviera decides to pull guard. Riviera is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Peter dives into side control.
Riviera tries to buck Peter off but Peter is having none of it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. A lull in the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riviera holding on. Riviera is trying to control Peter's posture but Peter avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Horrible takedown by Peter or perhaps it was just good defense by Riviera which made him look bad. Riviera looks to clinch and Peter counters with a shoot takedown. Riviera fights it but they end up in guard. Riviera is adopting a defensive guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Peter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Riviera with a poor takedown so Peter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Riviera wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Riviera looking to control but Peter passes into half guard.
Peter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peter wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. George Peter was stalling too much, according to the referee. Peter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. George Peter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Riviera misses with a takedown and Peter counters with a stiff right hand. Peter tries to clinch but Riviera moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riviera fails with the takedown so Peter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcelo Riviera. That's going to take a lot out of him. Riviera is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Peter dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peter tries to advance to mount but Riviera denies him. George Peter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Riviera is looking to regain half guard here but Peter keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Peter stalls from top position. You can see the frustration on Riviera's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! George Peter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Peter winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
