Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robert Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dog has chosen Fan of Marrizle as his entrance music. Robert Couture has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture fails to land with a series of punches.
Dog swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

so Couture counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Couture looking to sit in guard and control but Dog gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dog is stalling in the full guard.
Dog pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Couture is keeping the position for now.
Couture being controlled here, momentarily.
Dog wants to control from the top but Couture keeps moving.
Couture looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dog is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crazy Dog has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Couture is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Dog decides to pull guard.
Dog wants to get back to his feet but Couture is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Couture knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dog on the ground.
Dog tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Couture accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dog working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Couture doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Couture manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Couture is in close to Dog's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Dog looking for a sweep. Not yet Dog, not yet.
Couture throws and elbow that misses. Dog uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Couture's guard. Nice move by Dog!

Couture wants to get back to his feet but Dog is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Dog gets the takedown into side control.
Couture is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dog's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Couture is staying active underneath Dog, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dog seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Couture does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Crazy Dog.
Dog changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Couture tries to avoid it but Dog manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Couture to the ground. Couture escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Couture bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Couture throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Couture throws a strike aimed at the side of Dog's head but Dog avoids it well.
Couture trying to control the position but Dog is working away.
Dog is trying to buck Couture off.
Dog parries the strikes from Couture easily there. Couture is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dog to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dog is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Couture is trying to ground and pound but Dog uses the momentary lack of control by Couture to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dog throws a strike aimed at the side of Couture's head but Couture avoids it well.
Dog creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Couture sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Couture is looking to reverse the position.
Couture is working hard here to advance position.
Couture wants to control but Dog postures up.

Dog is working to tighten is grip on Couture's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Couture has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dog is really squeezing tight and eventually Couture passes out! Dog breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
