Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Big Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Angelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes into the arena with Oh my god... blaring out of the sound system. Big Bob could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Joe Angelo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Angelo!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angelo shoots in but Bob avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A combination from Bob does no damage.
Bob swings for the body but Angelo moves out of range.
Bob uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Angelo.
Bob throws a jab but it's blocked by Angelo.
Angelo wants to clinch up but Bob keeps it at a distance.
Bob swats away the attempt to clinch by Angelo.
Angelo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bob.
Big Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Angelo looks to land a combination but Bob avoids it well.
Bob throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Angelo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bob.
Angelo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Angelo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bob looks to score with a jab to the body but Angelo is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bob lands a big right hand that sends Angelo crashing to the mat! Bob stays standing though and waves Angelo back to his feet!

Angelo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bob.

Angelo is trying to stand but he's just given Bob his back.

Bob looking to break Angelo's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Angelo remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Bob will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Bob is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Angelo defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Angelo turns into Bob and is now in his guard.

Bob throws his legs up looking for a submission but Angelo uses it to pass to side control.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Bob counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Bob makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bob throws a looping overhand right but Angelo ducks down to avoid it.
Bob on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Bob clobbers Angelo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Angelo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

and Bob counters with a stiff right hand.
Bob misses with a series of wild punches.

Angelo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Angelo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Bob counters with a nice double leg into side control. Angelo won't be happy with that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Angelo wants to get back to his feet.

Bob thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Bob is trying to get an arm triangle but Angelo is defending well.
Angelo tries to improve position but can't.
Angelo is pushing Bob's head away, looking to escape. Bob manages to hold on to the position though.
Bob tries to move into full mount but can't pass Angelo's legs.

Bob is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Angelo has escaped the position, nice work there.

Angelo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bob asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Angelo sneaks out the side door and pushes Bob away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Angelo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bob manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Angelo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Angelo looks to land a combination. Bob sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

The fighters circling - Angelo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Angelo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Bob counters with a single leg into guard. Angelo didn't expect that.

Bob drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Angelo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bob has Angelo in his guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Angelo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bob working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Angelo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Angelo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Angelo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bob looking to hit a scissor sweep but Angelo is one step ahead there.
Bob is working hard here to advance position.

Angelo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Big Bob.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bob, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
