Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dagestan Opasevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dagestan Opasevich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jesse Jones! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Opasevich's head. Opasevich checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. A punch lands to the side of Opasevich 's head but he takes it in his stride. Opasevich blocks a jab. Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Opasevich, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Opasevich moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looks to land a body kick but Opasevich moved away. Jones connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jones throws a front kick aimed at Opasevich's knee but Opasevich avoids it well. Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones lands a nice looking kick to the body. Opasevich takes a step back to recover. Jones misses with a body kick. A leg kick checked by Opasevich. Jones throws a head kick but Opasevich moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Opasevich shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense. Jones misses with a kick to the body.
Jones looks for the body kick but Opasevich saw that one coming. Opasevich avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Opasevich, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dagestan Opasevich. That's going to take a lot out of him. Opasevich closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones taking some punishment here, with Opasevich in his half guard. Opasevich has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Opasevich throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely. Opasevich throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Opasevich checks a leg kick. Opasevich fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Jones plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones feints and then cracks Opasevich's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Opasevich down. Jones throws a leg kick which misses Opasevich's front leg but catches the back leg as Opasevich tries to avoid it. Jesse Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Opasevich checks a leg kick nicely. Jones connects with a single shot there. Jones connects with a leg kick. Opasevich looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Jones throws a wild body kick that Opasevich sees coming a mile off. Jones leaves Opasevich with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Opasevich takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jones tries to land a front kick but Opasevich steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jones throws a low kick, looking for Opasevich's leg but Opasevich calmly moves out of range. Jones swings away with a leg kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Opasevich. A head kick misses from Jones. Jones throws the kick towards the body but Opasevich avoids it. Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Opasevich to score an easy takedown into full guard. Opasevich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Opasevich throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Opasevich with a flurry of punches that miss. Opasevich working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Opasevich is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Opasevich throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Opasevich working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jones wants to get back to his feet but Opasevich is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Opasevich working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Not particularly brutal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesse Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Jones lands a nice leg kick that just misses Opasevich's sensitive parts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. That kick from Jones tenderised Opasevich's leg. Opasevich is trying to keep his angry face on. Jones misses with an uppercut. Jones misses with a head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A clash of legs there as Opasevich blocks the low kick. Dagestan Opasevich has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jones lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Opasevich will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jones misses with a head kick.
Jesse Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones throws a series of punches but Opasevich moves out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Jesse Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Jones winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
