Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelianenko !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Monkey Luffy!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurstr�m and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luffy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Emelianenko defends it nicely.
Emelianenko throws a combination. Luffy tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Luffy throws a low kick but Emelianenko avoids it.
Emelianenko lands a nice looking body kick.
Luffy walks into a left hand.
Luffy misses with a double jab
and Emelianenko counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Luffy fails with the takedown
and Emelianenko counters with a three punch combo that has Luffy backing up. Luffy nods at Emelianenko to acknowledge the strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Emelianenko jabs Luffy to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Emelianenko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Luffy shoots and misses
and Emelianenko counters with a stiff right hand.
Fedor Emelianenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Monkey Luffy.
Luffy looks gassed!
Emelianenko moves out of range of the strikes.
Luffy throws a left and a right that both miss
and Emelianenko counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Luffy is trying desperately to land a takedown but Emelianenko is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Luffy.

Emelianenko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Luffy circles away quickly and effectively.
Emelianenko misses with a few strikes there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Emelianenko bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Luffy's head backwards.
Luffy is rocked!
Luffy throws a leg kick that is checked
and Emelianenko counters with a straight that turns Luffy's legs to rubber! Emelianenko pushes forward with more strikes and Luffy goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fedor Emelianenko !
