Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Viktors Bricis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickhard Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bricis.
It looks like Viktors Bricis has been cut.
Smith misses the shot to the body.
Bricis misses with a few strikes there.
A jab from Smith does it's job there.
Bricis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smith throws out the jab.
Bricis jabs Smith to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Bricis moves out of range easily.
Bricis staying out of range there.
Bricis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A bone on bone clash there as Smith blocks the leg kick.
Smith misses the shot to the body.
Smith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bricis scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Smith doesn't seem bothered though.
Smith misses with a body punch
and Bricis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Smith thinking.
Smith looks gassed!
Bricis connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Rickhard Smith has been cut.
Bricis lands a jab to the head.
Nice cross by Bricis.
Bricis lands with a straight right. Smith didn't see that one coming.
Bricis digs a good hook to Smith's body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bricis connects with the punch.
Bricis scores with a sloppy right hand. Smith should have avoided that one.
That has opened up Rickhard Smith's cut even more.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Bricis has cracked Smith with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Bricis lands another huge swinging hook and Smith tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Smith, before Bricis can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Viktors Bricis!
