Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Cheese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Cheese!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Sherk!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sherk throws a jab when Cheese was well out of range.
Cheese fails in his attempt to clinch.

Sherk looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sherk passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Cheese!
Sherk controlling from mount.

Sherk goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cheese turns into him and now he's in Sherk's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cheese tries to stand but Sherk is controlling from the bottom.
Sherk has his hands on Cheese's head, controlling the position.
Cheese won't allow Sherk to sweep him here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cheese trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sherk's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cheese moves in looking to clinch but Sherk pushes him off.

Cheese doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sherk throws a shot from downtown. Cheese moves away and avoids it.
Sherk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cheese manages to avoid it.
Cheese leaves Sherk with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sherk.
Nice shot by Sherk.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sherk throws a shot from downtown. Cheese moves away and avoids it.
Sherk loads up on a big right hand but Cheese slips the punch.
Sherk circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cheese slips a straight right by Sherk.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sherk.
Richard Cheese has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryan Sherk.
Cheese tries to clinch up but Sherk circles away and keeps his distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bryan Sherk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sherk takes a swing at Cheese's ribcage but misses.

Sherk scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Sherk is looking for a kimura but Cheese is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sherk to get the leverage.
Sherk wants to pass the guard but Cheese is defending well.

Sherk is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cheese sees it coming and defends easily.

Sherk is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cheese has managed to free his arm - good work.

Sherk prevents Cheese from standing back up.
Sherk moves nicely into side control.
Sherk wants to control but Cheese is keeping him busy.
Cheese is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sherk has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Sherk content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sherk in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Cheese is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Sherk tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Sherk is looking to take a break and control but Cheese is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sherk is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cheese has escaped the position, nice work there.
Cheese is not content to let Sherk control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cheese is trying to buck Sherk off.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cheese is not content to let Sherk control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bryan Sherk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Cheese tries to close the distance and clinch but Sherk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sherk shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Cheese wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sherk thows a huge punch but Cheese dodges it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cheese pushes Sherk off looking to stand but Sherk dives back in and keeps control.
Sherk takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Sherk prevents Cheese from standing back up.
Cheese has hold of Sherk's hands but Sherk slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Cheese scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Sherk manages to mount him!
Cheese trying desperately to get to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Sherk looking to ground and pound but Cheese is blocking nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sherk punching from mount but Cheese doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Sherk is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cheese is surviving well by controlling Sherk's body position as best he can.
Cheese is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Sherk looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Sherk is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cheese to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cheese shrugs it off.
Bryan Sherk is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sherk controlling from mount.
Cheese is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Sherk looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Let's hope that Sherk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Richard Cheese has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bryan Sherk hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sherk shoots in for a double leg but Cheese sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Well Sherk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
