Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Katsuro Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Old Fella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katsuro Sato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zack Old Fella! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sato closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Old Fella quickly recovers to half guard. Old Fella is looking to improve his position.
Old Fella looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sato trying to control the action but Old Fella is working from the bottom. Old Fella moves into full guard.
Sato trying to control but Old Fella is working from the bottom. Sato tries to free his leg and advance position but Old Fella is retaining full guard. Sato wants to control from the top but Old Fella keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sato is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Old Fella is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sato with a flurry of punches that miss. Sato is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Sato pushes down on Old Fella's leg and manages to get into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sato trying to control the action but Old Fella is working from the bottom. Old Fella has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sato is working away from the top position though. Old Fella wants to improve his position but Sato is controlling well.
Sato thows a huge punch but Old Fella dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sato wants to control but Old Fella is keeping him busy. Old Fella blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sato. Old Fella keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Old Fella is looking to improve his position.
Sato tries to pass to full mount but Old Fella defends it. Old Fella is pressing down on Sato's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Sato trying to control but Old Fella is working from the bottom. Old Fella is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sato has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Old Fella keeping moving, preventing Sato from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Old Fella working a defensive guard here.
Sato advances to half guard. Sato is trying to control. Old Fella wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Sato passes to side control. Old Fella can't do much from the bottom here. Sato will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Old Fella takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Old Fella looks gassed! Sato tries to score with some ground and pound. Old Fella controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Sato controls the position. Old Fella is not content to let Sato control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sato thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sato trying to control the position but Old Fella is working away. Old Fella dodges the ground and pound from Sato. Sato taking a breather here. Sato throws a strike aimed at the side of Old Fella's head but Old Fella avoids it well. Sato tries to move to full mount but Old Fella actually manages to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Katsuro Sato dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sato thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Old Fella if he has to take too many more of those.
Old Fella tries for a takedown but Sato circles away easily and Sato counters with a slapping leg kick. Old Fella takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Sato scores a takedown into full mount! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sato takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Old Fella is breathing heavily. Sato connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Old Fella tries to hold on but Sato pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sato tries to control but Old Fella wriggling away. Sato is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Old Fella has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Sato is working for a guillotine from mount but Old Fella frees his head quite easily.
Old Fella tries to get back to half guard but can't. Old Fella is squirming around, avoiding Sato's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sato breaks from Old Fella's wrist control and lands an elbow. Sato landing punches. BOOM! Sato connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sato scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sato sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Old Fella tries to lock up and control but Sato gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sato sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Sato lands with some strikes. Sato dominating with strikes here. Sato controlling the pace for now. Old Fella is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sato lands a nice shot to the head. Sato looking to control but Old Fella is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Sato putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sato wants to finish this one by submission but Old Fella is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Sato. Old Fella has given up his back.
Sato is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Old Fella can do to turn this around? Old Fella is trying to defend against the choke here but Sato has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Sato Tightens the hold and Old Fella taps out furiously! Sato displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
