Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Marciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into Marciano's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Ryan Gracie will probably get the nod.

and Gracie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Marciano lands with a nice combination. Gracie backs away looking to recover.

and Marciano counters with a leg kick.

Marciano looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.

Marciano cracks Gracie with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown. Marciano fights it but they end up in guard.

Marciano wants to sweep but no luck.
Gracie passes Marciano's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Marciano is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Gracie seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Gracie's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Gracie has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marciano finds it's way round the side to connect with Gracie's head.
Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Marciano which made him look bad.

Marciano looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Marciano can't escape the position.
Marciano avoids a series of strikes thrown by Gracie.
Marciano tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gracie prevents Marciano from getting the reversal.
Marciano tries to buck Gracie off but he can't manage it.

Marciano takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Gracie with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gracie wants to control the pace but Marciano is squirming around nicely.
Gracie avoids the attempt from Marciano to control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Marciano is trying desperately to improve position.
Gracie misses with a head shot.
