Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob Baran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Berk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baran comes to the cage accompanied by Beach Boys - Barbara Ann . Bob Baran is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Baran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jamie Berk! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baran throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Berk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Berk wants to pass the guard but Baran is keeping the position. Baran is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Berk is aware though and is defending well. Berk loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Baran utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Baran is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Berk throwing strikes but missing. Baran is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Berk throws a strike but Baran rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baran trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Berk looking for a sweep. Not yet Berk, not yet. Baran prevents Berk from getting back to his feet. Berk lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Baran!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Berk with shots to the head and body - Baran looks very uncomfortable down there. Baran is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Berk cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Baran slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Berk misses with a head shot. Baran uses the momentum to regain guard. Berk throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baran preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Berk is pushing down on Baran's leg trying to pass to half guard. Baran is fighting to maintain full guard but Berk has managed to sneak the leg through. Berk prevents Baran from standing back up.
Berk is working for a submission of some sort.
Berk takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Berk misses with a head shot. Baran uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Berk postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Berk postures up in Baran's guard and throws a big left but Baran blocks it. Berk throws a strike but Baran rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Berk trying to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamie Berk dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nice body kick from Baran. Bob Baran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Berk fails in his attempt to clinch. Berk bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Baran throws a hook but Berk blocks it. Berk has closed the distance and engaged Baran in a clinch.
Baran breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Berk is trying hard to land a takedown here. Baran sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Baran connects with a high kick.
It looks like Jamie Berk has been cut. Baran catches Berk with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jamie Berk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A slapping leg kick lands for Baran.
Berk is breathing heavily. A combination from Baran does no damage. Baran works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Berk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Baran sprawls well. Baran wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Berk gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berk walks into a jab. Baran lands a big head kick that sends Berk tumbling to the mat! Baran takes a step backwards and waves Berk back to his feet - he wants the finish! Baran misses with an uppercut. Baran clobbers Berk with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Baran lands a big head kick that sends Berk to the canvas! Baran follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bob Baran!
