Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Hendrikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Saplin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Saplin's choice of entrance music: Invincible. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Hendrikson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Saplin! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendrikson lands a nice looking kick to the body. Saplin takes a step back to recover. Hendrikson throws a head kick that misses. Hendrikson tries to score with a low kick but Saplin moves his leg out of the way. A big left from Hendrikson misses. Saplin shoots in for a takedown but Hendrikson shows good takedown defense. Hendrikson fails with an attempt to clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Saplin. Saplin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jon Hendrikson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Saplin. Hendrikson tries to clinch there but Saplin circles away.

Saplin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Saplin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hendrikson tries to avoid it but Saplin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hendrikson to the ground. Hendrikson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Saplin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hendrikson throws out the jab. Saplin shoots for a takedown but Hendrikson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hendrikson wants to clinch.

Marcus Saplin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
