Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fredo Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Truman Roosevelt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corleone comes to the cage accompanied by The Godfather Waltz. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Truman Roosevelt! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roosevelt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Corleone shoots in looking for a takedown but Roosevelt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Corleone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Roosevelt checks the leg kick nicely there.
Corleone is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Roosevelt's half guard. Corleone not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Corleone thows a huge punch but Roosevelt dodges it nicely.
Corleone missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Corleone wants to stand but Roosevelt has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Corleone is looking to take a break and control but Roosevelt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Corleone is really struggling to control Roosevelt but he's trying to hold on to the position. Corleone stands up and beckons Roosevelt to join him on the feet. Corleone sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corleone shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Roosevelt checks the leg kick nicely there.

Roosevelt looks for the body kick but Corleone saw that one coming. Roosevelt throws a leg kick which misses Corleone's front leg but catches the back leg as Corleone tries to avoid it. A head kick misses from Roosevelt. A head kick misses from Roosevelt. Corleone blocks a head kick by Roosevelt.
Corleone takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Fredo Corleone has been cut. Corleone takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. A decent looking body kick lands there for Roosevelt. Corleone is breathing heavily. A decent looking body kick lands there for Roosevelt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A head kick misses from Roosevelt. Roosevelt scores with a kick to the midsection. Roosevelt scores with a push kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt lands with a shot to the body. Roosevelt scores with a head kick. Corleone tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Corleone is rocked! Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Roosevelt. Corleone shrugs it off though. Nice body kick there by Roosevelt. A solid body kick from Roosevelt. Roosevelt tries to land a front kick but Corleone steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Roosevelt throws a head kick that half lands.
Oh Corleone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Roosevelt misses with a kick to the body.
Corleone seems to have got his legs back now. Corleone takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Roosevelt looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Roosevelt, as that shot connected.
Crunch! Roosevelt slams his shin into Corleone's torso. Roosevelt lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Roosevelt scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Corleone doesn't seem bothered though. Corleone will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt throws the kick towards the body but Corleone avoids it. Roosevelt moves out of range of the leg kick from Corleone. Truman Roosevelt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roosevelt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Corleone pinned against the cage. Corleone gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Roosevelt throws a front kick that sends Corleone stumbling back into the cage. Roosevelt throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Roosevelt thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Corleone if he has to take too many more of those.
Corleone takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Roosevelt lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Nice shot lands for Roosevelt. Roosevelt scores with a kick to the midsection. A head kick from Roosevelt lands but Corleone takes it in his stride. Corleone walks forward, straight into a front kick from Roosevelt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Corleone has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Roosevelt. Roosevelt scores with a push kick. Roosevelt tries a head kick but it misses.
Corleone steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Roosevelt. That one must have hurt. A head kick misses from Roosevelt. Roosevelt throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Roosevelt goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Roosevelt gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Corleone managing to block the knees to the body from Roosevelt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Roosevelt throws an elbow that misses.
Corleone blocks an elbow strike. Roosevelt creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Corleone's defenses. Corleone misses with the head strike.
Roosevelt's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Truman Roosevelt dominated that round. The cut man is working on Fredo Corleone's cut. That's time! Corleone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Roosevelt. Fredo Corleone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Roosevelt throws a wild body kick that Corleone sees coming a mile off. Roosevelt throws a quick inside leg kick. Roosevelt lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Corleone tries to close the distance and clinch up but Roosevelt swats him away and circles back towards the center. Roosevelt lands a front kick. Roosevelt lands a head kick!
Fredo Corleone's cut is getting worse. Roosevelt looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Roosevelt comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A head kick from Roosevelt lands but Corleone takes it in his stride. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Roosevelt thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Corleone if he has to take too many more of those.
Roosevelt forces Corleone back against the cage and clinches. Corleone blocks the elbow strike.

That's one minute gone in the round. Corleone changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Roosevelt fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Roosevelt circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Corleone drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Roosevelt follows Corleone to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
