The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ruska rushes Kilimov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ruska lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Ruska is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kilimov throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ruska uses it to pass to side control.
Ruska advances to full mount.
Kilimov has given up his back.
Ruska controlling well, preventing Kilimov from escaping the position.
Ruska lands punches and elbows.
Kilimov is taking damage to the body and head.

Ruska has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kilimov has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Ruska is breathing heavily.

Kilimov breaks Ruska's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Kilimov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruska swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kilimov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ruska manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kilimov has Ruska in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ruska wants to pass the guard but Kilimov is keeping the position.

Ruska avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kilimov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ruska's guard.

Kilimov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ruska is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kilimov, into his guard.

Kilimov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ruska doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ruska manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
