Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Christ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Spaced Elite! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elite tries to clinch up. Elite is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Some wild striking there from Elite.
Christ fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Christ slips a jab and a cross from Elite.
Horrible takedown by Christ or perhaps it was just good defense by Elite which made him look bad. Elite showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Christ.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Elite falls off balance throwing a combination
and Christ counters with a nice double leg into side control. Elite won't be happy with that. An elbow from Christ crashes against the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christ is staying tight to Elite's torso, preventing him from escaping. Christ working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Christ throws a strike aimed at the side of Elite's head but Elite avoids it well. Elite is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Christ's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Christ duly obliges. Christ throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Elite tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Christ is in Elite's guard. Christ wants to pass the guard but Elite is keeping the position. Christ stands up and waves to Elite to follow him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Elite wants to clinch but Christ slips to the side and Christ makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Christ has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Elite struggling a bit here. Elite takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Christ taking a breather here. Elite really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Christ. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Elite tries to buck Christ off but Christ is having none of it. Christ sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Elite is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

and Christ counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Christ stalling. Christ scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Christ sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Elite defending well though. Christ decides to stand up. Christ has taken the fight to the clinch.

Elite pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Christ tries to break free but Elite pushes him back against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Elite. Christ gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Christ lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Christ decides to stand and escape the position. Spaced Elite is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. No luck with that takedown attempt from Christ. Elite keeps the fight on the outside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Christ darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Still in half guard, Christ seems content to control. Christ is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Elite can do to turn this around? Christ escapes and gets back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Christ dominated that second round. The cut man is working on John Christ's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

and Christ counters with a shoot takedown. Elite fights it but they end up in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Elite looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Elite trying to keep a closed guard but Christ is proving a slippery customer.
Christ not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Christ decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Danga de danga de dang - Christ scores with a four punch combination!
That's one minute gone in the round. Christ tries to clinch up but Elite circles away and keeps his distance. Elite blocks a head kick by Christ.
Elite misses with a double jab
and Christ counters with a two punch combo. Elite will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Christ scores a takedown into full mount! Christ throwing strikes here but Elite is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Spaced Elite has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! John Christ is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Christ controlling from the full mount. Christ's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Elite tries to reverse the position but Christ maintains control. Christ content just to control the position here.

and Christ counters with a series of strikes. Elite will be more careful next time no doubt. Elite throws a sloppy head kick and Christ moves out of range easily. Christ bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Christ happy to just control the position for now. Christ decides to stand back up. Christ steps back and let's Elite get back to his feet. Christ misses with a double jab.

And that's the end of the fight! John Christ showed his dominance in that final round. Well Christ has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
