Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antti Sokka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sokka comes to the cage accompanied by Black Sun Aeon - Core of Winter. Belfort has chosen Jedi Mind Tricks - Death March as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antti Sokka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, BJ Belfort! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sokka gets the takedown into side control. Sokka tries for a kimura but Belfort is defending well. Sokka in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Sokka cracks Belfort with an elbow. That is naaassty. Sokka has knee on belly momentarily but Belfort bucks him off and regains half guard. Belfort won't allow Sokka to pass to mount. Sokka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Belfort is just riding it out for now. Sokka eventually gives up the hold. Sokka has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sokka sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Sokka moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Belfort has worked his arm free - good work by Belfort!
Belfort sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Belfort won't allow Sokka to pass to mount. Sokka seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Belfort does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sokka sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Belfort defending well though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Belfort wants to get back to his feet. Sokka thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Belfort's head. Belfort trying to control here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Belfort can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sokka wants to advance to full mount but Belfort doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Belfort keeping full guard, as Sokka tries to pass. Belfort is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sokka is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Belfort really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sokka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sokka stops Belfort from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sokka trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Belfort avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sokka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sokka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sokka throwing strikes from guard but Belfort blocks nicely. Sokka slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sokka trying to control the position but Belfort is working away. Belfort prevents Sokka from improving position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Antti Sokka dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Belfort has managed to clinch.
Sokka decides to pull guard. Belfort must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sokka looking to control.

Sokka lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Belfort! Belfort is squirming around, avoiding Sokka's attempts to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sokka throws some wild stikes that Belfort manages to avoid easily.
Belfort wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Sokka.
Sokka looking to control but Belfort is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Belfort is trying to escape the mount but Sokka keeps good control and instead manages to take Belfort's back.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Sokka's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Will Sokka go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Belfort fending off the submission attempt from Sokka. Sokka trying to control. Sokka lands a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sokka thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Belfort looking very determined here, making life difficult for Sokka.
Sokka is looking for the choke from the back position but Belfort is controlling his hands well. Sokka struggling to land strikes to the head as Belfort covers up. Belfort is trying to stand back up. Sokka loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Belfort hold on?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sokka looking for the choke but no joy. Sokka working for a choke but Belfort is defending well. Belfort defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Sokka's arms. Belfort looking very determined here, making life difficult for Sokka.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Antti Sokka dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Belfort scores with a jab. Sokka acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Belfort lands with a shot to the body. A slow jab from Belfort misses its intended target. The fighters circling - Belfort throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Belfort doesn't manage to clinch there - Sokka circles away.
Belfort lands a lovely overhand right. Sokka has managed to clinch.
A short left from Belfort. Sokka throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Belforts head. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Sokka blocking some punches.
Sokka throws a punch but it's blocked by Belfort. Belfort digs a right hand underneath Sokka's ribcage. Sokka let out a lung full of air as it connected. A short right from Belfort. Belfort goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sokka prevents it.
Sokka decides to pull guard. Sokka is trying to control the position but Belfort postures up. Sokka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sokka looking to hit a scissor sweep but Belfort is one step ahead there. Sokka lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Belfort! Belfort tries to hold on but Sokka pushes him away. Sokka throwing strikes here but Belfort is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sokka trying to control but Belfort is having none of it. Sokka can't control as he wanted to and Belfort manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Sokka looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Belfort wants to control but Sokka is keeping busy.
Sokka is just content to waste time from the top position. Belfort takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Antti Sokka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Antti Sokka is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sokka sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Belfort defending well though.
And that's the end of the fight! Antti Sokka showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sokka, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
