Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dom Selleck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Selleck comes to the cage accompanied by Hell's Bells. Gracie has chosen Black & Yellow as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dom Selleck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rickson Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Selleck digs a good hook to Gracie's body.
Selleck stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Gracie takes a body punch but keeps moving.
No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt.
Good standup being displayed there by Selleck as he connects with a hook.

Selleck gets caught flat footed, as Gracie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gracie stops Selleck from standing up.
Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Selleck has wrist control.

Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Selleck tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gracie advances position into side control!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Selleck is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Gracie is controlling him well.
Selleck tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Gracie presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie with a couple of short strikes.
Gracie thowing shots but they're missing.
Selleck holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gracie tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Gracie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Selleck is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Selleck and Gracie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Selleck knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Gracie tries to move into full mount but can't pass Selleck's legs.
Selleck is looking for a sweep.
Selleck dodges the ground and pound from Gracie.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Selleck manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Selleck wants to take a breather but Gracie is having none of it.
Gracie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gracie.
Selleck tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.
Selleck is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Selleck wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard.
Selleck knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Selleck is proving a slippery customer.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Selleck is looking to stand up but Gracie won't let him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Selleck pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now.

Gracie isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Selleck stacks Gracie on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Selleck!
Gracie is looking to reverse the position.
Selleck in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Gracie is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Selleck off and has taken his back!
Gracie throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie looking to break Selleck's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Selleck remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Gracie will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Selleck tries to escape but Gracie has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rickson Gracie dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Selleck closes the distance and clinches.
A short right from Selleck.

Selleck's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Selleck.
Selleck bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gracie's head.
Gracie takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Selleck scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gracie doesn't seem bothered though.
Selleck connects with a right hand. Gracie shakes it off.
Selleck jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Gracie walks into a jab.
Gracie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Selleck circles away.
Dom Selleck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickson Gracie.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Nice straight punches there by Selleck. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Selleck.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Selleck moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Selleck dips to his left and cracks Gracie with an uppercut!
Selleck scores with a jab to the body.
Selleck lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Selleck paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Gracie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Selleck sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Selleck feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gracies jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Selleck scores with a jab to the jaw.
Selleck lands a two punch combo.
Gracie with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Selleck to score with a decent uppercut.
Gracie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Selleck lands a jab-cross combination.
Selleck digs a good hook to Gracie's body.
Selleck feints a jab promting Gracie to slip. Selleck then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gracie slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Selleck lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Nice body punch from Selleck.

Selleck clinches with his opponent.
Selleck stalls.
A body shot lands from Selleck.
Selleck leaning his opponent against the cage.

Selleck breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Selleck pinned against the cage. Selleck gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rickson Gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice uppercut lands for Selleck. That snapped Gracie's head back.

Selleck closes the distance and clinches.
Selleck lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.


It looks like Rickson Gracie has been cut.

Selleck lands a hook to the side of the head.
A short uppercut from Selleck.

Selleck breaks from the clinch.
Selleck bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Selleck cracks Gracie with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Selleck thuds a left hand into Gracie's body.
Gracie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Nice uppercut there from Selleck.
Selleck cracks Gracie with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Good exchange - Selleck coming out on top.
Selleck lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Selleck scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


Gracie is rocked!
Selleck scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gracie walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Good shot there by Selleck.
Selleck lands a body shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Selleck lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Selleck finish him?

Selleck drops Gracie with a beautiful combination! Gracie stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Selleck is looking for the KO!
Gracie has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Selleck circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Gracie to the canvas! Gracie doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Selleck keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dom Selleck!
