Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Fedorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hidetoshi Nakata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fedorov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8kANB2XBYU&feature=related. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aleksandr Fedorov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Hidetoshi Nakata! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakata tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Fedorov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fedorov fails to land the takedown. Nakata shoots and misses and Fedorov counters by moving into the clinch. Nakata lands on the inside with an uppercut. Fedorov manages to break the clinch.
Fedorov fails with the takedown and Nakata holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Fedorov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nakata pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aleksandr Fedorov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fedorov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nakata swivels and escapes. Nakata feints and as Fedorov raises his hands in defense, Nakata changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Nakata tries to free his leg and advance position but Fedorov is retaining full guard. Nakata trying to control but Fedorov is working from the bottom. Fedorov wants to stand and escape but Nakata is having none of it. Nakata got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fedorov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nakata has managed to get both his arms back between Fedorov's legs - danger averted. Fedorov is breathing heavily. Nakata tries to free his leg and advance position but Fedorov is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fedorov wants to sweep here but Nakata controlling him for the moment. Nakata postures up and lands a big shot to Fedorov's brow. Nakata postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Nakata is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fedorov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fedorov has escaped and now he's on top! Nakata looking for a guillotine here but Fedorov defends easily.
Fedorov tries to free his leg and advance position but Nakata is retaining full guard. Nakata isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Fedorov stacks Nakata on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Fedorov!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nakata is trying to improve his position. Nakata can't do much from the bottom here. Fedorov wants to control but Nakata is keeping him busy. Nakata is looking to regain half guard here but Fedorov keeps moving and retains side control. Nakata wants to control but Fedorov postures up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Nakata tries to buck Fedorov off but Fedorov is having none of it. Fedorov trying to control the position but Nakata is working away. Fedorov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakata struggling a bit here. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Nakata is not content to let Fedorov control the position. Fedorov tries to stand but Nakata is controlling his head. Fedorov decides to stand back up. Fedorov looks for a takedown but Nakata sprawls well. Nakata lands a slapping body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nakata doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fedorov counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Nakata wants to control the action here but instead Fedorov manages to pass to full mount! Nakata is looking to improve his position but Fedorov isn't that keen on the idea. Fedorov avoids the attempt from Nakata to control. Poor strikes thrown by Fedorov there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Nakata tries to get back to half guard but can't. Nakata tries to hold on but Fedorov postures up. Fedorov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nakata on the ground. Nakata is looking to improve his position but Fedorov isn't that keen on the idea. Fedorov get's back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aleksandr Fedorov will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Fedorov trying to stand up but can't free himself from Nakata's guard. Fedorov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Fedorov wants to control from the top but Nakata keeps moving. Fedorov wants to stand but Nakata is controlling his posture from full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Aleksandr Fedorov just wasn't active enough. Fedorov with a lazy takedown attempt and Nakata counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fedorov won't be happy with that. Nakata tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nakata has let go of the choke. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fedorov manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Fedorov wants to stand up but Nakata manages to regain full guard. Nakata looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Fedorov won't allow Nakata to sweep him here. Nakata working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fedorov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fedorov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nakata is working an open guard so Fedorov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nakata shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fedorov is trying to defend but Nakata finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
And that's the end of the fight! Hidetoshi Nakata comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Nakata has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
