Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hung Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Meatstock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hung Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hugh Meatstock!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meatstock swings for the body but Dong moves out of range.
Meatstock tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Meatstock throws a looping overhand right but Dong ducks down to avoid it.
Meatstock throws a right and a left that both miss.
Meatstock lands a left and a right that sends Dong crashing to the canvas! Meatstock dives into mount looking to finish!


Dong is rocked!


It looks like Hung Dong has been cut.
Meatstock controlling his opponent.
Oh Dong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dong regains half guard.
Dong seems to have got his legs back now.
Meatstock is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dong!
Meatstock tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Dong is trying desperately to improve position.
Meatstock wants to stand but Dong is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

Dong working to try and regain half guard.
Dong is squirming around, avoiding Meatstock's attempts to control the action.
Dong reaches up to try and control the position but Meatstock seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Dong rolls and tries to escape and now Meatstock has his back!
Meatstock just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Meatstock has the hooks in. Dong is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Meatstock keeps control of the position as Dong tries to break free.
Meatstock really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Dong.
Dong is in bad spot here.
Dong is breathing heavily.
Dong has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Meatstock.
Meatstock has good solid back control here.

Meatstock doesn't have the hooks in and Dong manages to turn into his guard.
Dong trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Dong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Meatstock swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dong stays in close to Meatstock's body and controls the position.
Dong prevents Meatstock from getting back to his feet.
Dong is fighting to break Meatstock's control of his arms but Meatstock is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Dong scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Dong passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Dong is trying to ground and pound but Meatstock uses the momentary lack of control by Dong to regain half guard.

Dong is looking for a kimura but Meatstock is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dong to get the leverage.
Meatstock is controlling Dong's trapped leg to prevent Dong from advancing to side control.
Dong slips a nice elbow through Meatstock's hands, connecting with Meatstock's forehead.
Meatstock keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Dong is looking for a kimura here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hugh Meatstock dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Hung Dong's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Dong pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hugh Meatstock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Meatstock paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
An inside leg kick lands from Dong.
A combination from Meatstock does no damage.
Meatstock misses with a wild body shot.
Meatstock swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dong doesn't manage to clinch there - Meatstock circles away.
Meatstock on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Meatstock throws an off balance right hand
and Dong counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Meatstock avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A choreographed right hand from Meatstock misses the target.
Meatstock displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

and Meatstock counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Dong wants to control from the top but Meatstock keeps moving.

Dong is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Dong chips away with some ground and pound.
Dong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Meatstock swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meatstock tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dong wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Meatstock, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dong tries to move to mount but Meatstock blocks the move with his legs.
Meatstock is trying to get back to half guard.
The ground and pound from Dong seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Meatstock tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dong changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Meatstock looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dong wants to control but Meatstock is keeping him busy.
Meatstock parries the strikes from Dong easily there. Dong is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Meatstock to escape.

Meatstock wants to control but Dong postures up.
Meatstock is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dong's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Dong wants to pass the guard but Meatstock is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Meatstock lands a slapping body shot.
Meatstock throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Dong counters with a single leg into guard. Meatstock didn't expect that.
Meatstock has his hands on Dong's head, controlling the position.
Dong might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dong wants to control from the top but Meatstock keeps moving.

Dong loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Dong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Meatstock is keeping the position for now.

Meatstock bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dong's guard.

Meatstock must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Dong pulls Meatstock in close to his closed guard and prevents Meatstock from doing any damage or advancing position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The cut man is working on Hung Dong's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


Dong lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Dong bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meatstock keeps working.
Meatstock can't do much from the bottom here.
Hung Dong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dong tries to score with some ground and pound. Meatstock controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Meatstock avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dong.
Dong throws an elbow but Meatstock slips to the side and avoids it well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dong seems to be looking for submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dong walks into a straight right hand from Meatstock.
Dong doesn't manage to clinch there - Meatstock circles away.
Meatstock pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Meatstock lands with a kick to the temple. Dong shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Dong closes the distance and clinches up with Meatstock, looking for a takedown. Dong pushes Meatstock against the cage but Meatstock circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Meatstock connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Meatstock throws a jab when Dong was well out of range.
Meatstock tries to bum rush Dong with a series of wild strikes but Dong uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Meatstock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hugh Meatstock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Meatstock thows a body kick. Dong tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Nice takedown defense from Meatstock. No joy for Dong on that attempt.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Meatstock and Dong goes tumbling to the canvas! Meatstock follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Meatstock in particular looking to stall.
Meatstock's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Dong wants to control the action here but instead Meatstock manages to pass to full mount!

Dong stops Meatstock from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Dong reaches up to try and control the position but Meatstock seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Dong rolls and tries to escape and now Meatstock has his back!

Meatstock is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dong is defending well though. Meatstock let's go of the attempt for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Meatstock controlling well, preventing Dong from escaping the position.
Meatstock gets his hands free as Dong looks to control.
I really don't envy Dong right now.
Dong tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Meatstock moves to his opponent's back but Dong bucks him off and ends up in guard. A bit of a disaster there for Meatstock.
Dong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Meatstock swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Meatstock has control of Dong's left arm, preventing Dong from doing any damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hugh Meatstock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Meatstock has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
