Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Bernard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Bernard wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.
Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bernard has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Bernard's legs - danger averted.
Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Bernard slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.
Bernard throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gracie works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gracie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bernard is aware though and is defending well.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bernard lands a nice short elbow.

Bernard is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gracie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gracie shrugs it off.
Gracie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Bernard goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gracie is on top in guard.
Bernard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

and Gracie counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Bernard has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gracie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bernard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bernard's back!

I've got Bernard winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
