Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Bernard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Royce Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andy Bernard! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Bernard wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.
Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bernard has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Bernard's legs - danger averted.
Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Bernard slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard. Bernard throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gracie works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gracie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bernard is aware though and is defending well.
Gracie looking for subs off his back but Bernard has passed one foot through into half guard.
Gracie won't allow Bernard to pass to mount.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bernard lands a nice short elbow. Bernard works his way into full mount! Bernard controlling from mount.
Bernard is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gracie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gracie shrugs it off. Gracie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Bernard landing strikes from the mount. Bernard lands a heavy elbow.
Bernard goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gracie is on top in guard.
Bernard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bernard keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Gracie trying to move into half guard but instead Bernard has managed to sweep!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Bernard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie is breathing heavily. Bernard working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Bernard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bernard slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bernard is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gracie has escaped the position, nice work there. Gracie can't do much from the bottom here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie is looking for a sweep. Gracie taking punishment in the form of punches.
Bernard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gracie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Bernard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bernard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bernard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gracie, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Bernard dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bernard. Bernard wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. Gracie is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Gracie is looking for a sweep. Bernard trying to control the action but Gracie is working from the bottom.
Bernard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gracie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bernard is thwarting Gracie's attempts to control the position.
Bernard is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gracie sees it coming and defends easily. Bernard is keen to just control but Gracie is a slippery customer.
Bernard is looking for a kimura here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Bernard looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Bernard is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gracie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bernard. Gracie is trying to get back to full guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bernard is keen to just control but Gracie is a slippery customer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andy Bernard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

and Gracie counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Bernard has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gracie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Gracie gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Bernard keeping full guard, as Gracie tries to pass.

Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Bernard has wrist control. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bernard manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Bernard in his guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie wants to sweep here but Bernard controlling him for the moment. Bernard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now. Bernard wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bernard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bernard is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Bernard from controlling successfully. Bernard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is looking to stand up but Bernard isn't so interested in that idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bernard forces his way into half guard.
Bernard is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bernard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bernard's back! Bernard rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

And that's the end of the fight! Andy Bernard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Bernard winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
