Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Laguna Highwind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sylvain Lacasse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Highwind's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Mars Volta - Inertic Esp. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacasse throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lacasse tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Highwind was well out of range. Poor timing from Lacasse.
Lacasse misses the shot to the body.
Lacasse misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Highwind.
Lacasse throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lacasse. Highwind does a little dance to reset his feet.
Highwind on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lacasse throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lacasse looks to score with a jab to the body but Highwind is just out of range.
Lacasse throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Highwind takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Highwind tries for a takedown but Lacasse sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lacasse thows a body shot but no joy.
Lacasse jabbing away but nothing is landing.

and Highwind counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lacasse!
Lacasse is in all sorts of trouble here.
Lacasse is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Highwind pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lacasse throws a jab but it's blocked by Highwind.

and Highwind counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lacasse is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Highwind throws and elbow that misses. Lacasse uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Highwind's guard. Nice move by Lacasse!

Laguna Highwind dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Lacasse swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lacasse tries to land a front kick but Highwind steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Highwind feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lacasse bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Highwind's guard.

Highwind got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lacasse has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Highwind has managed to get both his arms back between Lacasse's legs - danger averted.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Highwind's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Laguna Highwind overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lacasse might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Highwind kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Highwind, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
